TEC Drive inverter upgrade at water park

AA Jones Electric were contacted by a local water park owner, to discuss and then calculate potential energy savings on the existing 13 motor/pump sets ranging from 7.5kW to 55kW.

On average the pumps are operating 12 hours per day, 7 days per week, 51 weeks per year, with electricity costs on site at £0.49 per kWhr. We calculated and provided the pay back period through a technical report.

AA Jones Electric were successful in their tender working together with Peter Cribbin and Alec Byerley from TEC Drives. TEC commissioned all 13 inverters over a 2 day period to optimise performance. The new inverter drives are saving them approximately 20% in energy costs after they installed all 13 inverters and the pay back on the whole project will be 6 months. In the off peak season they have the option to reduce the speed on the pump sets even lower, with the potential to reduce running costs even more.
